Inquiry into Energy Policy and Planning in Wales

EPP 28 – Mark and Helen Rivers

 To whom it may concern.

we moved to Mid-Wales many years ago and have chosen to bring up our children, Dylan and Rhys, here among the beautiful open countryside.

We have spent many hours appreciating how fortunate we are to live in one of the last unspoilt areas of the United Kingdom.

We now find that beauty under serious threat of destruction. Not just from the windfarms, which are hugely inefficient and an expensive burden on the elderly and families such as ours(the ways bills are going we will be unable to heat our home) but also from the ugly pylons planned for the whole of our area.

We are not against green energy, but we feel that TAN08 delivers nothing for Wales apart from the destruction of our wonderful landscape for the (small) benefit  of people who live many miles away and care little for Wales as a whole.

If these people want windpower to charge their homes then let them have windfarms on their hills and leave Wales alone.

DO NOT DESTROY WALES. PROTECT IT FOR THE FUTURE GENERATIONS AND OUR CHILDREN.
